A bird’s eye view of  Programme Schedule

     
Venue :
venue is a 10 acre fenced up area on the eastern side of the Maidan around the Vadakkunnathan Temple. The Satra – nagar is named ‘Siva Puri’.
Yagnasala :
The yagnasala where all the major events are conducted is named as ‘Sukasthali’. This temporary auditorium has a stage of 45’ x 30’ and room to seat 5000 people as listeners.
Food :
Arrangements to provide food to those who come to attend/partake in the Satra are made in a separate ‘Bhojanalaya’ with necessary conveniences attached. Buffet style, with helping servers, will be followed for feeding.
Accomodation :

For those aspirants who come to attend the Satra, from far off places, free dormitory accommodation will be provided in suitable halls. Those who require separate rooms can have got them booked thro’ the organizers, on request and payment. A few house holders  are also approached to receive guests at their households during the Satram days.
Honouring the Veterans :

Veterans who have been spreading the message of Bhagavatha will be honoured at a solemn function arranged on 19th Oct, the last day of the Satra. Shri.Malliyoor, Shri. Thottam, Shri Aanjam, Swami Chidananda Saraswathy, Shri. Thamarassery, Shri.Karangad, Shri. Maruthoorkara, Shri.Chittur Krishna Iyer, Shri.G.Balakrishnan Nair, Shri.Kombankulam, Shri C.R.Venkataraman have been approached to receive the honour.
Temple :

temporary Sree Krishna temple is to be constructed in the Yagnasala. All temple rites  will be  performed at the temple from 4 a.m. till 8 p.m. The devotees can get archanas done for their kith and kin, apart from special sooktha archanas at a nominal rate of Rs.10 per person. The devotees can make other types of offerings also at the temple.

                          

Poojas with a difference
 
A ‘Silakhanda’ (piece of rock) brought from the holy Govardhangiri and water from 7 holy rivers will be placed in a separate enclosure, where special poojas can be offered by devotees. Rate for the Pooja is Rs.100 per pooja per person.
 

Samooha Archana
 
A Samooha archana is scheduled between 4.30 p.m. and 6 p.m. on 14th October at the Yagnasala at which 1000 devotees at a time can offer floral offerings unto the Lord, chanting Vishnu Sahasra Namavali. Intending archakas has to pay Rs.100 each towards arrangements.
 

Veda – Geetha recitals
 
a.m. – 5 a.m. every day is reserved for Vedocharana and reading of Srimad Bhagavad Geetha.
 

Rendering of Narayaneeya
 
Different groups will be rendering Srimad Narayaneeya on different days. On the inaugural day from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m, the entire text will be read out by Ravipuram Narayaneeya Samithi from Ernakulam. Further 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. every day from 11th to 18th are set apart for Narayaneeya. The renderers are Harinama Keerthana Narayaneeya Samithi from Haripad, Uduppi Sri Krishna Narayaneeya Samithi from Alappuzha, Rajam Menon & Party from Ernakulam, Sree Vallabhesa Narayaneeya Samithi from Tiruvalla, Narayaneeya Samithi from Mumbai, Baktha Mahila Trust from Thrissur, Kurichithanam Narayaneeya Samiti from Kottayam and Radha Antharjanam & Party from Guruvayur, in order.
 

Bhagavatha Parayana
 
5 a.m. – 8 a.m. on all days from 11th to 18th, 5 a.m. – 7.30 a.m. on 19th, 4.30 pm.  – 5.30 p.m.on 11, 12,13,15,16 are set apart for reading out the original text of Srimad Bhagavatha. In the evening sessions more acharyas will join together for the rendering.
 

Speakers and Topics
 

Broadly speaking, from 11th to 18th, 8.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m, 11 am – 1p.m, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m, 5.30 p.m. – 6.30 p.m are set apart for lectures by eminent scholars on topics in Bhagavatha as also a few topics of general nature. 3 lecture sessions are in the form of seminars.
